About Me:
I love what I do. I consider it an honor to be the one capturing life’s most precious moments for other people. My love for photography was birthed out of my own desire to capture real moments in the lives of my own boys; dirty wet frogs and all. My advanced knowledge and technical training is ongoing, but has been funded mostly by my biggest fan and supporter, my adoring husband. Without him and his support my skill level would not be where it is today.
I am a lifestyle portrait artist, who endeavors to capture something “more” than just the typical posed portrait. I sculpt with natural light and work on location and in client’s homes. In addition to capturing the classic portrait, I love helping you to create moments that speak to the heart and remind us of how precious life is. When someone chooses me to be their personal photographer, they know they are not only having their pictures taken, but they are investing in an experience that they will treasure for a lifetime. It’s the experience of being in an unhurried and relaxed atmosphere and having someone capture their love for each other or the innocence and wonder of their children in a truly authentic way.
How does this happen? I am so glad that you asked. I believe that photography can capture a moment, give us goose bumps, and make us feel something that is genuinely moving. I believe this happens best when we are relaxed and know that we have more than just a few minutes with the photographer and that there is no rush. Anybody can take a snapshot, but not just anyone can capture a moment in such a way that it becomes art. I enjoy knowing that I can uniquely provide couples and families the setting and time needed in order to capture their family and loved ones in a way that will be treasured for a lifetime.
